Switzerland: Sonic strengthens Swiss operations with Dr Risch

Sonic Healthcare, the ASX-listed global provider of medical diagnostics,, has added to its Swiss laboratory network with the acquisition of the Dr Risch laboratory group, a full-service medical laboratory group in Switzerland. The purchase price of CHF117m (US$132m) will include the issue to the sellers of Sonic Healthcare ordinary shares with a value equivalent to CHF30m, with the balance to be funded in Swiss francs from Sonic’s existing cash and debt facilities.
